    Dear loved ones,

I am so sorry not to be able to be with you but know that throughout Danny’s illness I have been with him and you in spirit — always sending good thoughts.

I will cherish my moments with Danny from camping in Yosemite when I was a teenager and on the Vermont land as a young adult to having seen him during his last trip to California a few years ago. My times with him were fun!

    With love,
    Marla

My condolences to the entire family. When my work brought me to Dan’s business, we always had time to share a few stories first. Then we got down to work.

Danny was a towering presence in my life when I was a teenager. He had a profound influence on me through my friendship with his son, Michael, and I will never forget his kindness and generosity when he took the time to talk me through some rough years. My heart goes out to his wife and children and grandchildren and sister and all those whose lives he touched for the better. May he rest in peace.

  4. Thinking of Dan, much good comes to mind, but a few words stand in the forefront. Dan was a man of: kindness, generosity, care, ideals, gumption, humor, honesty, encouragement, loyalty, commitment, intellect, mutiny, confidence, inspiration, wit, character, temperament, persuasiveness, and virtue.

He was calculated in his undertakings, but would defy mainstream ideology and throw caution to the wind in the chance of success.

Grieve his loss not long, as knowing him will continue to enrich us to this day and beyond. Be us confident he will rest in peace, and remain in our hearts and minds.

My love goes out to his family and good friends.

  5. Sexy. Laugh larger than life. A brain that could meet my own. Rascal. Gambler. Loved Nancy and his family more than they knew….Until the end, perhaps. Life is less abundant without Dan.
Sleep well, old friend…except I didn’t tell you that I had an idea of what to do with those wood turnings…..HA!!!!
    Love to all,
    Lynn

When I find myself thinking of the good fortunes life has brought me, having had the privilege of calling Dan Krauss a friend is by far one of the greatest.

    Be well Nancy.
